Player Development
The development of a soccer player is a long process in which players progress gradually from a simple to a more complex involvement in the game. The soccer program that AJAC has developed is structured with that in progression in mind. The success of our program will be determined by the number of players who continue to play at the next level in the developmental progression.

| As many of you are aware, Mass Youth Soccer has required players to be registered on a calendar year basis starting with the Fall 2016 season. A modification was made to that mandate to also include school grade in determining the age group a player will be placed in. As a result, there is really no difference to the prior age group set up and only a few players will need to be assigned to a new team. You will notice that the registration site now requires you to add the GRADE your child will be entering in the Spring of 2017. Depending on birth date, a player may have to choose between multiple age groups. See the detailed instructions below. Once you navigate to the registration screen, choose the age/grade for your child. After entering parent info, you will be prompted to verify your child’s grade in the Fall. Next you will be prompted to select a team. Choose the grade appropriate team for your child. | Returning players will be given priority roster spots. If you are a new player registering and the site does not have a team available, please contact us at ajacsocceracademy@gmail.com and provide child's gender, DOB and grade. Several reasons for ordering - uniform no longer fits -need extra items(i.e socks or shorts) - New players ***if new player, please reach out to coach and ask the #s available. Zero Tolerance Policy
Because of physical and verbal abuse, Roots Soccer League have adopted a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY. This policy applies to all coaches, players, parents and other supporters and referees effective immediately. Abusive and obscene language, violent play, violent conduct, fighting and other behavior (including but not limited to sarcasm, taunting, etc.) deemed detrimental to the game between the above mentioned groups will not be tolerated. It is the responsibility of the Coaches to provide Referee support and spectator control. This policy will apply to all times prior to, during and after the game at the soccer field and its immediate surrounding areas. PARENTS / SPECTATORS: NO PARENT OR OTHER SPECTATOR SHALL ADDRESS THE REFEREE AT ANY TIME !!! This includes but is not limited to:
• Responding to a referee who has initiated a conversation with a parent or spectator. • Pointing out emergency or safety issues. Penalties: In the opinion of the referee, depending on the severity of the of the offense, the referee may take any of the following actions:
Communications between players and referees are governed by the FBFA Laws of the Game. Any additional penalties associated with the issuance of a red card or multiple red cards including appeals processes will follow existing PVJSL procedures at the time of issuance. COACHES / ASSISTANT COACHES: It is the responsibility of all Coaches to maintain the highest standards of conduct for themselves, their players and supporters in all matches. Failure to do so undermines the Referee's authority and the integrity of the game resulting in a hostile environment for players, the referee, coaches, assistant coaches and spectators. Coaches are not to address the Referee during the game except for: During the game: • Responding to a referee who has initiated a conversation with a parent or spectator. • Pointing out emergency or safety issues. • Making substitutions, • Asking the referee to repeat a call. • Asking for the time remaining in the half. AJAC Refund Policy: Prior to the start of the regular season, players unable to continue will be provided with a full refund of their registration fee (after discounts as well as MYSA and sportsmanager registration fees). Please note that refunds are processed typically in batches and could take up to a month. After the start of the season, a prorated refund will be issued for players unable to continue based on the number of team games played. For example, if 2 of 10 season games are played, a refund equal to 80% of the registration fee will be provided. This will only apply up to halfway through the season after which no refunds can be issued. |
Per RSL and PV rules, players must register for a team within the city or town where they reside if an age appropriate team is available in that city or town. The league may grant a waiver of this rule where the hometown releases the player and the waiver does not conflict with parent club (US Soccer / MYSA) rules.
