Step 1 - Make Sure Your Season/League
Is Set Up Correctly
You must first have at least one season with at least one league and teams in
it. That league must have a regular season to auto
schedule. To set the regular season
dates of a league go to the Leagues/Groups
Page and click on the league you want to edit. Also from
this page set the Season Length
of this league. There are two ways of setting the
Season Length... 1) Setting the number of Games Per Team 2) Setting
the number of times Teams Play Each Other. Finally on this page you can set the
minimum Time Between Games(per team) and
the Default Game Duration.
Step 2 - Set Playing Area
Availability
You
have to set up the availability of your playing areas. If you
haven't created any Playing Areas go to the Playing Areas Page and click Add Area
. There are two parts of setting an areas
availability... 1)
Setting open times of the area 2) Specifying the leagues that are available to
play on this area Area open times are used to mark a
playing area as open at certain times on days of the week(ex. Sun
9:00am to 7:00pm). Click on
Edit Availability on the Playing Areas
page. This will bring up the availability page
for this area. Click on Add Open
Time and add the times the area is open on the days of the
week. If this changes during the course of the season enter
both of the times separately checking Time
Period
at the bottom(ex. Mon 5:00pm to 9:00pm Jan 1 to
Feb 1 - Mon 4:00pm to 8:00pm Feb 2 - March 30).
League availability is the league(s) that are available to
play on a playing area. Click on Edit
League Availability at the bottom of the Playing Areas
page and check off
the leagues that are eligible to play on this area. You can have
multiple leagues eligible to play on the same area or a league eligible to
play on multiple areas.
Step 3 - Set League Open
Times
You have set up the open times of your areas and
specified what leagues are eligible to play on those areas. Now you
have to set up the League Open Times. League Open
Times are used to
mark a league as open on a certain playing area at certain times on
days of the week(ex. Sun 9:00am to 7:00pm on Field 1). A
league open time must be within the open time of the area for that
day(ex. Sun 11:00am to 3:00pm) and it must be for an area the
league is eligible to play on. To set the League Open Timesclick on the
Auto Scheduling Page and click on League Open
Times. Click Add Open Time and add
the open time for that league. A league can not have an open time on an
area it is not eligible to play on or for a time slot that the area is
not open.
Step 4 - Create An Auto
Schedule
Now that you have set up the Area Open Times, League Availibility and League Open Times you can automatically create the
schedule for a league. Go to the Auto
Scheduling Page and click on Auto Scheduling Wizard. From here you will have
a last chance to change certain parameters such as Season Length, Time Between
Games(per team), and the Default Game Duration. You
will also be able to view the list of Open Time
Slots and Team Pairings . Click
Update And Auto Schedule and the schedule will
automatically be created. If you want to change something and recreate
the automatic schedule click Delete
Schedule. Otherwise click Accept
Schedule. If you want to
see an analysis of the schedule before you accept it click Schedule Analysis. If you need to make any changes to the automatically
created schedule go to the Schedules/Scores Page
and edit the games you need to.
